What the creative menu mod adds
The creative menu mod adds an in-game item menu of roughly 2,700 items split across seven tabs: Blocks, Furniture, Decor, Workshop, Nature, Resources and Gear. Weapons and armor can be obtained at a chosen level, rarity and upgrade, up to level 50.
It also enables free flight for building and exploration, or flight limited to the base building area. Building, crafting and using consumables consume no materials, and landing from any height causes no fall damage. Gem furnaces from each region can be placed in the base, covering level 12 to 50 gems, and time can be controlled by jumping to any time, pausing the sun or speeding up the day-night cycle.
The mod works in your own world, in a hosted world, and on a dedicated server running the mod. The listed author and uploader is Phoenix1355, version 1.2.
Installing the creative menu mod in your game
Use the main download package for in-game use. The author recommends backing up saves first, located at %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Enshrouded, or Steam\userdata\YOURSTEAMID\1203620\remote when using Steam Cloud.
- Back up your save files.
- In Steam, right-click Enshrouded, choose Manage, then Browse local files.
- Copy dinput8.dll and the creative folder next to enshrouded.exe.
- Launch the game and enter a world.
- Press Insert to open the creative menu.
Creative menu controls and settings
Insert opens and closes the creative menu, G toggles flight, Space ascends after takeoff, C descends, Shift enables fast flight, and landing returns you to walking.
The settings page includes mode selection (Creative or Journey), flight mode (unlimited or build-area only), no fall damage, no resource consumption, time, and menu and flight key bindings. These are saved in creative/settings.json. If the keys do not work, close the game and set menuKey or flightKey in that file, for example “menuKey”: “F8”; letters, numbers, F1 to F24, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown, Delete and numpad 0 to 9 are supported.
Multiplayer and dedicated servers for the creative mod
When hosting a world for friends, no extra installation is needed on the host side; friends who want the creative menu and flight install the mod in their own game the same way, and the host’s settings and time apply to everyone in the world.
On servers, the server determines all players’ mode selection, flight mode, no fall damage and no resource consumption, and the player settings page shows these values marked as set by admin. On first startup the server writes configuration to creative/server.json in the server folder; you can edit the file and restart, or an admin with kick/ban permissions can change settings in-game, which take effect immediately for everyone and are saved to the file.
Anyone joining with the mod can take items, so servers that want to avoid this should not install it. Rented servers need FTP or a file manager to upload files next to the server exe; host-provided “mod loader” options usually only load data-type mods and cannot load this one.
- Stop the server and back up the save folder.
- Copy powrprof.dll and the creative folder next to enshrouded_server.exe.
- Start the server.
- Have every joining player install the mod in their own game.
Linux hosts, updating and removing the creative mod
On Linux hosts using Wine or Proton, such as AMP, the server must be started with WINEDLLOVERRIDES=“powrprof=native, builtin”, otherwise the mod will not load.
To update, overwrite the old files with the new ones; settings are preserved. To uninstall, delete dinput8.dll (or powrprof.dll on servers) and the creative folder. Placed gem furnaces continue to work, and those in the inventory revert to their original crafting materials.
What the minimap mod adds
The minimap mod provides a zoomable and rotatable minimap, a weather clock, real-time fog of war and multiplayer markers, with independent toggles and hotkey adjustment. It runs entirely on the client, with no server-side components required.
Zoom runs from 50% to 200% in 25% steps, with border, markers and clock scaling together while the terrain zoom ratio stays unchanged. The minimap position can be set to bottom-right, top-right or middle-right.
A 24-hour clock shows current clear, rain, snow or blizzard status in real time, and the clock and weather can be toggled independently. Fog of war updates with exploration progress, and explored areas remain permanently visible. Players, signals, waypoints, custom pins, placed flame altars and gravestones are always visible, and marker groups can be toggled independently.
Installing and configuring the minimap mod
The mod cannot be loaded with EML alone; Shroudtopia 0.1.1 and the VC++ x64 runtime must be installed. Configuration takes effect in real time by editing the mods.minimap_mod field in shroudtopia.json, with no game restart required after changes.
Hotkeys: F10 or numpad * shows or hides the minimap, +/- zooms, F9/F11 zoom out and in, and toggling with F10 briefly shows an On/Off prompt.
- Close the game and install Shroudtopia 0.1.1 and the Visual C++ x64 runtime.
- If a mods/minimap_mod folder already exists, back it up outside the mods directory.
- Extract the archive into the game’s main directory and confirm the path is Enshrouded/mods/minimap_mod/minimap_mod.dll.
- Keep one minimap folder and the existing shroudtopia.json configuration file.
Minimap compatibility notes and uninstall
The minimap mod was tested against Steam client data revision 1076226, and the minimap zoom function was verified as usable. Snow terrain, blizzards and dungeon gravestone display effects still require actual gameplay verification; users encountering issues are asked to report the game build version and specific symptoms.
To uninstall, close the game and delete the mods/minimap_mod folder.
